The ES024 is a two-way speaker system consisting of a spherical ceramic squawker and a dynamic woofer. The squawker's spherical ceramic design offers excellent transient character and generates omni-directional spherical waves, providing superlative reproduction of the middle and upper ranges. Lower toners are produced by a sturdy, honeycomb vibration board that bounces the sound off the floor-generating omni-directional, rich, and deeply impressive bass tones.

The spherical squawker is fashioned of piezoelectric ceramic, and is 80-mm wide and 1-mm thick. The audio signal is applied to both sides, producing a "breathing" vibration throughout the sphere. Because the resonant frequency is set above the playback frequency, the speaker is extremely fast. The speaker produces a sound that is clear, bright, delicate, subtle, and clean.

With 360-degree omni-directional playback, the left and right speakers both operate as point sources. You can sit or stand anywhere and still get the feeling of being at live stage performance.
